VANCOUVER – Surrey RCMP say it is not a criminal matter, but they are investigating a number of students over allegations they exchanged sexually explicit photos.

The students attend Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School in Surrey. Doug Strachan of the Surrey School District confirms a studentcame forward on Tuesday saying some “inappropriate” photos of girls were being distributed among a group of seniors in Grades 11 and 12. The photos were of girls who attend the school.

The school has taken disciplinary action against the 12 boys and girls accused of sharing these images. It is not known if they were posted on social media.

The disciplinary action will depend on each student.

Strachan said it is sad that with all their work about anti-bullying that this group reflects badly on the 1,900 students in the area.
