CALGARY – A candlelight vigil will be held on Tuesday in honour of five young people killed in the city’s worst mass murder.
Zackariah Rathwell, 21, Jordan Segura, 22, Josh Hunter, 23, Kaitlin Perras, 23, and Lawrence Hong, 27, were celebrating the end of the school year at a house party in Brentwood when they were stabbed to death on April 15th, 2014.
The vigil will be held outside the home where the tragedy occurred on the eve of the anniversary of their deaths.
Organizers say the vigil will be a time for silent prayer and reflection “to bring light to the darkness,” and that everyone is welcome.
It begins at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, at 11 Butler Crescent N.W.
