WINNIPEG – RCMP across southern Manitoba are dealing with multiple motor-vehicle collisions Monday morning, they report.
Overnight and morning snowfall created icy, slippery sections on highways, leading to many crashes, a news release said.

The snow followed a week of warm temperatures that melted most of the snow in southern Manitoba and left roads dry and bare.
“If you must be out on the roadways, please drive for winter conditions: slow down, drive with caution, increase your distance between other vehicles and increase the time you allow for braking,” the RCMP said in a news release. “Please be safe out there.”
