EPS issue warrant for high-risk violent offender 17 days after release

EDMONTON — Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help finding a high-risk violent offender wanted on province-wide warrants.

Michael Wayne Beauchamp is wanted on four province-wide breach warrants.

On March 4, police warned the public that Beauchamp and another offender, Ashton Natomagan, had been released from prison.

Beauchamp was released from the Grande Cache Institution on March 3 after completing a six-year sentence for robbery, overcoming resistance by attempting to choke, suffocating or strangling another person, and failing to comply with recognizance.

A Canada-wide warrant for 33-year-old Natomagan was issued just two days after his release.

The province-wide warrants for Beauchamp come 17 days after his release.

He is considered dangerous and should not be approached. If he is found by a member of the public, they are asked to contact police immediately.
