It’s an unusual sight, a car in a playground. But that’s exactly what staff and students at Coronation Park School saw Thursday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., police were called to the school after a driver under medical distress drove onto the park.
Recess at the school is at 2:15 p.m. each afternoon, meaning the incident happened while students were in class and none of them were injured.
The tire tracks show the car swerved through the puddle-filled park before coming to a stop near the playground equipment.
According to police, the male driver got out of his car and fell down. He was cared for by paramedics.
Alcohol is not believed to be involved, the investigation is ongoing.
