SALMON ARM – RCMP in Salmon Arm called in the Southeast District Emergency Response Team to help diffuse an incident Wednesday afternoon.
Police were alerted to a distraught man in a vehicle on a Black Road rural property.

He reportedly had a gun and was drunk.
After setting up containment around the property, the ERT was summoned because of the risk to public safety.
The man was taken into custody without incident and a firearm was recovered.
RCMP say he was not physically injured but was taken to hospital for any treatment he might require.
