OLIVER–Fire crews were called to a home on Morning Star Road in Oliver, after smoke was seen coming from the roof.
Fortis had to be summoned to the home to shut off the power before firefighters could get to work, but once they attacked the flames, they were able to quickly suppress them.

Damages to the home were minimal, but some repairs will be needed.
Early indications are that the home owner was doing some renovation work, which caused an electrical spark.
No one was injured in the blaze.
