One dead after crash east of Prince Albert, Sask.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Mounties say one person was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon in Saskatchewan. The collision between a semi and a SUV happened around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 3.

A man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Two other people, an 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, were seriously injured and taken to Victoria Hospital. The woman has since been transferred to Royal University Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The highway was closed for several hours while police carried out their investigation.
