UPDATE: Cops show off results of major drug bust

UPDATE: RCMP say they’ve put a dent in the cocaine trade following the seizure of dozens of kilos of the drug.

The RCMP, in conjunction with the Canada Border Services Agency, announced in West Kelowna today that they’ve seized 35 kilograms of cocaine at the Waneta Port of Entry in Trail.

They say a 26-year-old Kelowna woman is facing drug charges.

The cocaine was seized on July 26 of last year when border officers inspected a vehicle being driven by Caitlin Christine Gladish. So far, two charges have been laid – presumably against Gladish.

Gladish is due in court in March.

WEST KELOWNA — RCMP in West Kelowna are about to release details dealing with a major drug bust.  The RCMP’s branch of the federal serious and organized crime is holding the conference along with Canada Border Services Agency.
