CALGARY – One man is facing charges after a pedestrian was found dead on a rural road west of Calgary on Sunday.
RCMP were called to an unnamed road south of Morely just before 6:30 a.m.
They say the victim, a 22-year-old Morely man, was on the road when he was struck by a vehicle which then left the scene.
Investigators later seized a 2004 Dodge Neon thought to be involved in the collision.
Gabriel Lazarus Wesley, 22, has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
He is set to appear in court in Calgary on Monday,
