TORONTO — Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, remains in a Georgia hospital Sunday after being found unresponsive in her bathtub on Saturday.

Brown, 21, was reportedly found face-down in the tub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend. The friend called 911 while Gordon performed CPR, according to a police spokesperson.

Emergency personnel arrived at the townhouse, located in a gated community about 26 miles north of Atlanta, around 10:25 a.m. and Brown was rushed to North Fulton Hospital.

“She is still alive and breathing and other than that I do not know her condition at this time,” Roswell Police Department public information officer Lisa Holland told reporters on Saturday afternoon.

While some media reports claimed Brown is in a medically-induced coma, others said this is not the case.

According to police, there were four people in the house in addition to Brown at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation.

Officers had previously been called to Brown’s house on Jan. 23 for a report of a fight but no one was home.

Brown is the only daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown.

Houston died Feb. 11, 2012 in the bathtub of her suite at the Beverly Hills Hilton. She was 48. A coroner ruled she accidentally drowned but said heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors. Several prescription drugs were found in her system.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Last year, Brown lashed out on social media at Angela Bassett for not including her in the Lifetime biopic Whitney. Bassett countered that Brown is “not an actress.”

Brown was on the defensive last March when she addressed concerns about her health sparked by a photo she posted on Instagram that showed her in a bikini.

“I am my mothers child! Have you ever heard of a #fastmetabolism ?” she tweeted. “Damn, lol, it’s incredible how the world will judge you 4ANY&EVERYthing.”

Only two days before being found in the bathtub, Brown tweeted: “On my own.”

On Jan. 26, Brown mentioned her mother in a tweet:

Brown appeared on her father’s reality show Being Bobby Brown and starred in her own short-lived series, The Houstons: On Our Own. She also had a small guest role on a 2012 episode of For Better or Worse.

Brown, who occasionally appeared on stage with her mother, has vowed to kickstart a music career of her own.

In 2013, Houston’s mother Cissy said she worries about Brown. “It doesn’t mean that she is going to follow her [mother’s] same path,” she said.

“She could but anybody could. I don’t want to jinx her. I’m trying to make sure she doesn’t.”

Several stars took to Twitter to show support for Brown:
