A power outage at Prince George Airport has resulted in the delay of all flights to and from the airport this evening.
According to the airport, the outage happened just after 6 p.m. and was caused by wet, heavy snow. While there is power in the terminal supplied by a backup generator, there’s no lighting on the airfield.
As a result, all flights to and from the airport are being indefinitely delayed. The airport says they hope to have power restored by 2 a.m. and advise people to make alternative arrangements tonight.
