Vancouver Canucks prospect Jake Virtanen scored a beauty of a goal for the Calgary Hitmen in their 7-0 win over the Swift Current Broncos Friday.

Virtanen, who the Canucks selected sixth overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, took the puck coast-to-coast, dangling past defencemen Brett Lernout and Jordan Thomson before snapping the puck past goaltender Landon Bow.

The Abbotsford native has scored two goals in five games since returning to the Hitmen following the 2015 World Junior Championships, where he was a key part of Canada’s gold medal win.
