Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Prince Albert, Sask. assault

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A man was taken to a Saskatoon hospital with life-threatening injuries after an assault in Prince Albert. The attack happened Tuesday morning in the northern Saskatchewan city.

Police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 400-block of 20th Street East just before 5:25 a.m. Responding officers were informed there was an unconscious man inside the home.

The 26-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later transported to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. There is no update on his condition.

Prince Albert police have a 27-year-old man in custody. No charges have been laid and police continue to investigate.
