WINNIPEG – Bryan Little was back at practice on Tuesday after leaving the Jets last game with what is being called a lower body injury.  Little took a shot off the inside of his knee in the 3rd period against the Bruins but with four days between games Little might not even miss any action.  He was back skating with the Jets top line and there’s a good chance he’ll dress tomorrow night as the Jets begin a 3 game home stand against the Edmonton Oilers.

“It’s gotten better each day.” said Little.  “Kinda lucky to have four days between games or else I don’t know if I would have been able to play right away.  It felt good on the ice today so that’s a good sign.”

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

When asked directly if he would play tomorrow Little offered up this response.

“Ya probably.  I did everything today, completed the practice, did some battle drills, so I don’t see why not.” said Little.

The news is not as good for defenceman Tobias Enstrom who also has a lower body injury.  Enstrom was originally hurt in the Jets loss to the Detroit Red Wings, sitting out the last 4 straight games.  He took part in practice on Tuesday but has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to November 23.

“I’ve been out for awhile and I’m gonna try to make it heal really good so I’ll be back in good shape to play the rest of the year,” said Enstrom.  “Today felt good. I got through so we’ll see how it feels tomorrow.”

Grant Clitsome sat out Tuesday’s practice and his status is also up in the air so the team has recalled defenceman Ben Chiarot from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

The Jets face the Oilers on Wednesday at MTS Centre with the Oilers mired in a 10 game losing streak.
