Police in Preston, England have released CCTV footage showing a terrifying armed robbery which took place at a corner store this past October.
Dressed all in black and wearing masks, three men jump from a sports car outside McColls Newsagents on Ribbleton Avenue in Preston in the early morning on Oct. 31.
Armed with baseball bats and machetes, the masked men storm into the corner store and begin to threaten both store employees, and a security guard there to fill up the cash machine.
The Daily Mail in the U.K. reports that the security guard in question suffered a cut on his hip during the assault, but that none of the other store employees were seriously injured.
The masked burglars then make their escape in an Audi A3 sports car, according to police. Police are also looking for a bright red Nissan Skyline, which was also seen leaving the scene of the robbery.
All told, the robbers made off around 50,000 pounds sterling – or $89,337 Canadian.
“It has now been one month since this robbery took place and although we are making good progress with our investigation, we are re-appealing to the public for their help,” Jerry Sturgess of the Preston police department said. “I would urge people to take a look at the CCTV footage and get in touch if they have any information that could assist us with our enquiries.”
