HALIFAX – Police have ticketed the driver involved in a fatal crosswalk collision in Dartmouth last month.

On Oct, 31, a 74-year-old man was struck by a car at the intersection of Portland Hills Drive and Portland Estates Boulevard while he was crossing the road. He died in hospital on Nov. 3.

On Wednesday, police issued two summary offence tickets to the 23-year-old man driver of the car — one for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and the other for operating an unregistered vehicle.
