SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man has pleaded guilty in a 2012 crash that left a woman dead.
Joseph Ledoux pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in court on Monday on what was supposed to be the first day of his trial.
Ledoux was charged after he struck a 73-year-old woman crossing the intersection at Fairlight Drive and Gropper Crescent on July 21, 2012.
She was taken to hospital with head injuries and a broken leg but died almost a month later.
Ledoux, who was 21 at the time, was also charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, refusing to give a breath sample and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 26, 2015.
