CALGARY- Some tense moments for residents of a neighbourhood in south Lethbridge Saturday morning.
Police in tac gear, along with dogs and a robot were called to a home near 14th avenue South and 18th Street South, where a man had reportedly barricaded himself.
Area residents were told to lock their doors and stay in their homes until the situation was resolved.
Eventually, a 43-year-old man surrendered himself to police without incident.
Police in Lethbridge won’t say what the man was taken in for or what prompted such a major response.
The Public can now move freely in the neighbourhood.
