It was a banner year for the Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) – the most successful in the festival’s 15-year history.

More than 28,000 movie fans took in nearly 200 features, documentaries and short films during the 11-day event.
Attendance was up 42 per cent over last, and ticket sales set a new CIFF box office record.
The event wrapped up with a sold-out gala presentation of “Ally Was Screaming” by Calgary filmmaker Jeremy Thomas.
