VANCOUVER – An arson in Chicago Illinois impacted hundreds of travellers in B.C. on Friday and caused the delay and cancellation of several flights from Vancouver to Chicago on Saturday.

A man allegedly set fire to a regional air traffic control centre in at O’Hare Airport and more than 700 flights were delayed across the U.S. as a result.

For anyone flying to Chicago from Vancouver on Saturday, you are advised to check with your airline before heading to the airport.

The problems in the mid-west are also creating issues for concert promoters. The starts of the Slam! The Tour!, a Bollywood extravaganza scheduled to take place Saturday evening at the PNE Forum, are caught in the flight chaos.

Organizers are pushing the show back by two hours.
