FREDERICTON, N.B. – Fredericton police continue to ask for the public’s help as they investigate what happened to 46-year-old Peter Bryden.
The husband and father was found just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 along Douglas Avenue on the city’s north side. Police say a resident found Bryden and called 911.

Staff Sgt. Matt Myers says Bryden suffered serious injuries, and the injuries are vast.
“We are actively pursuing information that Mr. Bryden was the victim of a serious assault, whereby he received life-threatening injuries,” said Sgt. Myers. “Mr. Bryden is still in critical condition at the Saint John Regional Hospital.”
On Monday, Myers said police want to speak with two or three “persons of interest” as part of their investigation
Police are pleading for more information from the public.
