HALIFAX – Halifax police say they have questioned three people after seizing a replica assault rifle from a vehicle.
Officers were called to a parking lot in the Bayers Lake area Thursday night after receiving a call about a possible weapon.
Police say a witness reported seeing someone with a long-barrelled firearm wrapped in a jacket.
A suspect vehicle was later found on Glenwood Avenue with three people inside.
Police say a replica C-8 rifle was seized from one of the passengers.
Two men and one woman were taken into custody without incident, interviewed and released without charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
