EDMONTON – Four people have been charged with drug trafficking-related offences after RCMP conducted a search warrant on a room at the Horizon Motel in St. Albert last month.

An undisclosed amount of marijuana and methamphetamine was seized during the search on August 21, 2014.

An investigation also found that three children — a four-month-old girl, a three-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl — were also staying in the hotel room. The children were not present when the search warrant was executed, though, and have since been taken in by Children and Family Services.
