CALGARY- Those heading into Kananaskis Country are being warned not to leave valuables in their vehicles, following a rash of thefts.
RCMP have received numerous complaints about thieves targeting vehicles parked overnight at trail heads. The windows have been smashed out, and the contents stolen.
Many of the thefts have occurred around Elbow Pass, Lantern Creek and the Interlakes day use area.
It’s recommended that trail users make sure all valuables are out of their vehicles, including wallets and credit cards.
