TORONTO – A 33-year-old man is facing charges after a hit and run left a man dead on St. Clair Avenue West Saturday morning.
Owen Thompson, 33, has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.
An unidentified 31-year-old man was in the westbound lane of St. Clair Avenue near Symes Road when he was hit by a gray mini-van Saturday just before 5 a.m.
The driver fled and the victim was later pronounced dead.
Thompson appeared in a Toronto courtroom Tuesday afternoon.
