A 19-year-old Vancouver man is facing charges after a break-in at a home in Horseshoe Bay on Sunday.
West Vancouver Police say they were called to a home in the 6300-block of Douglas Street just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Police say a resident reported that a man had kicked in the door of a ground floor suite, grabbed several items and demanded money before fleeing in a waiting vehicle.
The three occupants were not injured.
Police responded to the scene and began their investigation. They say the alleged victim “subsequently received additional demands for money coupled with threats for suspects to return.”
Their investigation led officers to Park Royal where two men and woman were arrested without incident. Police say the alleged victims and suspects are known to each other, and believe the incident was targeted.
19-year-old Devon Cole of Vancouver is facing charges of uttering threats, mischief and forcible entry. Police say he also has three unrelated arrest warrants.
Cole appeared in North Vancouver court Monday afternoon.
A 21-year-old Burnaby man was released on a Promise to Appear at North Vancouver Provincial Court at a later date. A 41-year-old Vancouver woman was also released pending further investigation.
