FORT QU’APPELLE, Sask. – A woman awaiting trial for 2nd-degree murder is missing.

RCMP are searching for 29-year-old Brianna Wesaquate after she didn’t return to her home on the Pasqua First Nation Tuesday.

Wesaquate was released on electronic monitoring on March 6. In October, she was charged after a street fight led to the death of another woman.

A Queen’s Bench trial date has not yet been set.

Wesaquate was granted permission to be away from home between 12:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday. An alarm was set off when she failed to return at the designated time.

It’s not yet known if her electronic monitoring device was removed.

Wesaquate is described as Aboriginal, 5’6″, with brown eyes and brown hair.
