The BC Coroners Service has now confirmed the identity of a man who died in a boating accident on August 24, 2013.
The body of Kevin William Boutilier, 25, was recovered from Shuswap Lake on July 10, 2014.
Boutilier was on a houseboat with some friends when he and several others jumped into the lake to retrieve a hat. Weather conditions caused the boat to drift away and Boutilier was unable to make it back to the boat.
An extensive search at the time was unsuccessful in recovering Boutilier’s body, but a private recovery service, Ralston and Associates, found it on July 10.
