VERNON – A man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Vernon.
On June 24th at about 1:00 a.m., police responded to a report of gunshots in the 3200 block of 22nd Street.
They quickly determined there had been an altercation between two men who are known to each other.
One of the men was gone when RCMP arrived.
The other was arrested on an outstanding warrant on an unrelated matter.
Christopher Ryan Trethewey, 37, is accused of three gun offenses including attempted murder with a firearm.
He has been released on an undertaking and returns to court on July 24th.
There were no injuries in the shooting incident.
