OAKVILLE, Ont. – Three Oakville teens are facing mischief charges after police say graffiti was spray-painted on numerous buildings in the town southwest of Toronto over the weekend.
Halton regional police say a passerby noticed three people “tagging” a building in the area of Trafalgar Road and Church Street early Sunday and reported the incident.
It’s alleged the suspects – who used various unique tags or signatures – also spray-painted graffiti on other properties in the area.
A 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds have each been charged with six counts of mischief under $5,000.
Their identities are protected under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
