REGINA – Regina police arrested a 47-year-old man Monday night after another man was stabbed near downtown Regina.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Osler Street for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived; they found a 52-year-old man who had suffered an apparent stab wound to his back.
The victim was treated by EMS on scene for his injuries.
Police saw the suspect holding a knife in a threatening manner and were forced to disarm him using the taser.
The suspect fell to the ground and got a bump on his head. He was taken to hospital for assessment, and later released back into police custody and charged.
47-year-old Daryl Don Marr of Regina is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
Marr made his first court appearance on Tuesday morning.
