UPDATE: Attempted murder charges laid after missing woman found
MONTREAL LAKE CREE NATION, Sask. – RCMP are concerned for the well-being of a woman after an assault investigation Monday morning in northern Saskatchewan.
Police were called to the Montreal Lake medical clinic just after 5 a.m. to investigate an assault that had occurred in Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
Prior to Mounties arriving, the van the assault occurred in had left the scene.
Police are concerned for the well-being of the parties involved, particularly Marina Henderson, 66, the owner of the van.
She is described as First Nations, 173 centimetres, heavy set with brown hair and eyes. There is no photo available.
Mounties are also looking for her van, a red 2000 Chevrolet Venture with Saskatchewan licence plate 031 JDZ.
Anyone with information on the location of Henderson or her van is asked to call Montreal Lake RCMP at 306-663-4420 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Montreal Lake Cree Nation is about 220 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
