Labour Relations Board ruling deems remedial summer school an essential service

A key ruling has been handed down by the Labour Relations Board deeming some summer school classes for grade 10, 11, 12 as “an essential service.”

The decision relates specifically to remedial classes for those students looking to make up for a course they may have failed.

The full-scale strike continues, but at least some teachers will be back on the job Monday.
