RCMP are appealing to the public for witnesses to an arson that happened in Richmond on Monday evening.
Richmond Fire Rescue brought the Mounties in after a report of a fire at an apartment building on Saba Road just after 9 p.m. After an initial investigation no fire was found, however an incendiary device had caused damage to an area near the elevators in the building.
Residents were temporarily evacuated from the building.
Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit is reviewing video footage for potential suspects and speaking to witnesses in the area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Richmond RCMP or Crimestoppers.
