VANCOUVER – A missing 17-year-old, last seen by her family on May 22 on Vancouver Island, has been found safe in the Okanagan.
The Sidney North Sannich RCMP say Mikayla Savage was found safe and police have no further concern for her safety and well-being. Mikayla has been in contact with her parents who are grateful for the public’s assistance.
Possible sightings of the teen ranged from Victoria to the Okanagan.
Police say the public response from the Okanagan region was overwhelming and was instrumental in bringing this investigation to conclusion and enabling the police, on behalf of Mikayla’s parents, to confirm her safety.
