UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 55-year-old Dean Pratico of Revelstoke.
REVELSTOKE — RCMP confirm that a Revelstoke man has died from his injuries following an altercation with another man last week.
The altercation happened last Friday on 9th Street near Queen Elizabeth Park where the 55-year-old victim reportedly got into an argument with a motorist in a school zone.
It was apparently over speeding after the victim told the suspect to slow down. The driver got out of his car and pushed the man to the ground – knocking his head.
The victim was rushed to Queen Victoria Hospital and later transferred by BC Air Ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops where he was put on life support. RCMP say he succumbed to his injuries late Sunday night.
They say they do not have anyone in custody and are looking for witnesses to the incident.
The name of the victim has not been released.
