A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a bizarre incident at a Vancouver Tim Hortons Monday.
Police officers were called to the Tim Hortons near Davie and Howe Street this afternoon after receiving reports of a man smashing windows.
Police say the man became violent after he demanded a coffee but was asked to line up first. That’s when the man allegedly pulled the fire alarm, before picking up two chairs and throwing them at the windows, causing them to shatter.
He then allegedly ripped the debit machine and cash register from the wall and smashed it on the ground.
There were no injuries. The 23-year-old man, a resident of Vancouver, is known to police.
