A recent survey suggests that Calgarians are the worst tippers in the country, handing over an average of 13.3 per cent—lower than the minimum 15 per cent recommended at restaurants.
The mobile payment company Square also found we only tip 59 per cent of the time.
Many Calgarians say they aren’t surprised by the result, because the level of customer service at establishments has dropped in recent years.
