Two charged after drug bust in Melfort, Saskatchewan

MELFORT, Sask. – RCMP have charged two men after a marijuana drug bust in Melfort, Saskatchewan on Friday.

Members of the local RCMP along with Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team had been conducting a drug investigation in Melfort.

A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a residence.

Police seized a large quantity of cannabis marijuana, currency, cellphones, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Ronald Grosh, 50, and 23-year-old Jeremy Clift were arrested without incident.

Both have been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of proceeds of crime.

The accused will be appearing on April 29 in Melfort provincial court.

Melfort is approximately 160 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
