CALGARY – Over 50 customers and employees had to leave a local grocery store on Friday after a fire broke out.

It happened in a business in the 1600 block of Centre Street North.

Officials say the area where the fire originated had a sprinkler system which went off, along with a fire alarm.

The sprinkler system extinguished the fire before crews even arrived on scene.

There were no reports of injuries, and investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
