SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man is dead after he was struck by a car at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue P on Thursday evening.
The 59-year-old man was walking northbound across 22nd Street against the light when he was stuck by a westbound car just before 7 p.m.
A patrol car was at the scene when the collision happened. Attempts by officers to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful.
His name has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.
The traffic was restricted for over four hours in the area while collision analysts carried out their investigation. No charges are anticipated.
