Vehicle worth $80K stolen in Saskatoon after left running, unattended

SASKATOON – A vehicle worth $80,000 was stolen in Saskatoon early Tuesday morning after the owner left it running and unattended with the keys inside.

Police were notified of the theft from the 1200-block of Avenue M North around 2:30 a.m.

Patrol officers spotted the vehicle about 30 minutes later in the area of Avenue P and 20th Street. It was followed to the 800-block of Avenue T North where it was stopped and two people arrested.

A 24-year-old woman is facing charges of impaired driving, possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana.

The second person, a 23-year-old woman, is facing a possession of stolen property charge.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
