Michelle’s television career started in 1998 when she joined Global Television. She covered every sport under the sun, from hockey to F1 and football to cricket. Michelle soon became the anchor of a new sports show, which eventually became The Fox Soccer Report. It was the first soccer-specific show in North America, reaching 38 million homes.
During her time with the show, Michelle developed a rich network in the soccer world, and she had the opportunity to cover several major events, including the 2006 World Cup in Germany and the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final in London.
“Global is where my career in television really began over a decade ago and I am beyond excited to embark on a ‘new’ chapter of my career. As a Winnipegger, I know the importance of accurate weather forecasts and I am excited about bringing our viewers the information they need.”
Besides being a devoted soccer fan, Michelle loves spending any free time in the kitchen, where she loves to cook and bake. A trained ballet dancer, she enjoys the arts and relishes time with friends and family. She also has a love of dogs and after spending some time volunteering with Manitoba Mutts , Michelle and her husband now are parents to a mini goldendoodle named Charley.
