Michelle Lissel’s television career started in 1998 when she joined Global Television where she covered every sport from hockey, F1, to football and cricket. She soon became the anchor of a new sports show, which eventually became The Fox Soccer Report. It was the first soccer-specific show in North America, reaching 38 million homes.
During her time with the show, Lissel developed a rich network in the soccer world, and she had the opportunity to cover several major events, including the 2006 World Cup in Germany and the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final in London.
In Lissel’s spare time, she is actively involved in Habitat for Humanity-Women Build campaign. She has participated in their build project and has been the Emcee of their fundraising Garden Party Fashion Show. She has also Co-Emceed the annual Volunteer Manitoba Awards Ceremony and worked with Variety, The Children’s Charity of Manitoba.
Besides being a devoted soccer fan, Michelle loves spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. A trained ballet dancer, she enjoys the arts and relishes time with friends and family. She continues to represent Global News at a variety of events throughout the province, which is one of her favorite pastimes.
