  • 2010 Team Pursuit Olympic Champion.
  • 2011 Team Pursuit World Silver Medallist.

Interesting Fact: Was originally a short track skater, but a recurring ankle injury made sharp turns difficult so he decided to pursue long track skating.

Chances: Teamed with Lucas Makowsky and Denny Morrison, Giroux came away with a somewhat surprising gold medal in Vancouver 2010. The team will head to Sochi as medal contenders but not necessarily favourites to defend their title. He will also compete in individual events, where he could potentially reach the podium as well.
