Sport: Bobsleigh

Age: 28

Hometown: Calgary, Alta.

Accomplishments:

  • 2010 Olympic Gold Medallist
  • Two-time World Champion (2012 and 2013).

Interesting Fact: Kaillie Humphries is arguably the best female bobsleigh pilot in Canadian history. She will be paired with Heather Moyse, who she won gold with in Vancouver. She has consistently won two-person events on the world stage recently, piloting the sleigh with all three of her Olympic teammates (Moyse, Jenny Ciochetti and Chelsea Valois) on different occasions.

Chances: After winning gold four years ago, Humphries and Moyse will have a target on their backs. They head into Sochi as favourites to defend their medal.
