Speaking to a press conference in Saskatoon on Tuesday, the English River First Nation in Saskatchewan updated the estimated numbers of unmarked graves at the former site of the Beauval Indian Residential School from 83 to 93 after confirmation from an archaeologist. “Seventy-nine children and 14 infants,” English River First Nation chief Jenny Wolverine said. “Let me be clear… This is not a final number. It breaks my heart that there are likely more.”
