Winnipeg Fire and Paramedics Services responded to a fire that was reported in an apartment building on Kennedy Street near Sargent Avenue on Saturday morning at approximately 4:40 a.m. Four people were taken to hospital with one in critical condition. A separate fire broke out nearby at approximately 5:10 a.m. which sent three people to hospital, one of whom succumbed to his injuries. Both fires are under investigation.
