Ontario aims to eliminate post-secondary requirement for police officers

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Tuesday the government would be removing tuition fees for the Basic Constable Training program at the Ontario Police College, and would introduce legislation to eliminate the post-secondary education requirement to become an officer. He said they would also expand the college cohort from 480 to 550.
