Surrounded by fellow Conservatives from across Canada on Friday evening, official opposition leader Pierre Poilievre delivered a speech about party unity, while vowing to unite Canadians amid economic pressures. At the biannual Conservative convention – this time held in Calgary – Poilievre also touched on topics like Arctic defence and the “resurgence” of separatist movements in Alberta and Quebec – blaming the latter on the Liberal party.
